The seeds of the present research on the Hellenistic mouldmade bowls
kept in the British Museum were
sown during the documentation of
vases at the said museum as part of
my doctoral thesis. Through the
search, classification, and
subsequent documentation of the
finds, I began to realize that many
of the museum's holdings had
remained unstudied. Thus,
encouraged by my curators, the idea
was born to study the entire
collection of Hellenistic mouldmade
bowls in the museum's possession.
