The Church of the Holy Forty Martyrs in Veliko Tarnovo was founded in 1230. From 1970 to 2007, an archaeological survey was conducted of the Medieval church and the architectural complex surrounding it. Hundreds of graves from the capital’s heyday were also uncovered, some of which contained a wealth of textile materials. This book presents the results of the analysis of these textiles.
