The edition includes fourteen articles on the Thracian tribes and rulers, the silver ores in Thracian lands, the inscriptions on their silver vessels, the royal coinage, the external influences and autochthonous elements in the production of silver objects and the gods and myths depicted on them. It traces the use of silver in burial practices, parade armaments, horse harnesses, banquet sets, ornaments and clothing elements, and identifies the main centers of production of the objects. The book contains silver artifacts from twenty Bulgarian museums and silver objects from the permanent exhibition of the National History Museum of Romania in Bucharest.
