This study refers to the British, Americans, and Irish who traveled to Greece and visited the sacred island of Delos, the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis, as well as the island of Mykonos. It focuses on fifty-seven American, British, and Irish travelers who visited the Greek islands of the Archipelago over the course of four centuries (16th-19th), documenting their experiences and observations on the islands of Mykonos, Delos, and Renia.
Upon returning to their homelands, they published their diaries or the letters they sent to friends or relatives, thus giving us the opportunity to learn about the life, customs, and economic conditions of the inhabitants of Mykonos, the fate of the antiquities of Delos, and the prehistoric relics of Renia during the years 1600 to 1900 A.D.
