Simferopol (- Bonn) 2006 - Publication dates: at irregular intervals

The series "Ancient Toreutics and Jewellery in Eastern Europe" was founded in 2006. Its aim is the publication of the articles of ancient artistic metalwork and ornaments, originating from the Eastern Europe – the vast territory between the Volga in the East and the Danube in the West. The materials found in the complexes of the Graeco-Roman and barbarian cultures are unique in its richness and the possibilities of social and cultural reconstructions. However, only a small part of it is published. There are also few special general works on these subjects. As a result the theme is almost unexplored, whereas the material is difficult of access.
We are planning to publish in the series the scholarly studies devoted to the jewellery and toreutics from Eastern Europe, separate important archaeological complexes, containing such finds, as well as the catalogues of the corresponding materials in the museum collections.
